MCES Sanitary Sewer Projects
The Metropolitan Council Environmental Service (MCES) will be doing several sanitary sewer projects in Golden Valley in 2010 as outlined in the MCES Facility Plan.
The Plymouth FM Lining Project involves lining two existing MCES Plymouth force mains north of Hwy 55 between Winnetka Ave and Hwy 100 with cured-in-place liners. The general contractor is Michaels Construction. The lining of the first forcemain pipe will be completed May 2010. The lining of the second forcemain will begin after October 2010 and continue into early 2011. For additional information, contact Project Manager Mike Villari at 651-602-4521.
The 1-GV-460 Lining Project involves lining a portion of interceptor 1-GV-460 near the Theodore Wirth Golf Course in Golden Valley. The general contractor is Lametti & Sons Inc. Lining of the interceptor is scheduled to be completed by July 2010. Restoration of the trail and pedestrian bridge is scheduled to be completed August 2010. The 1-GV-461 Rehab Project involves some lining and partial replacement of MCES sanitary main 1-GV-461 to restore its structural integrity. Project design by HDR should be completed by mid-2010, with an expected construction date of late 2010-early 2011. For additional information, contact Project Manager Seng Thongvanh at 651-602-4538.
The 1-GV-461 Relief Project will provide additional conveyance capacity in the 1-GV-461 service area. An initial public information meeting was held Jan 6 and a public hearing was held Jan 27. Project design will begin in June 2010, with construction planned to start in spring 2012 and complete in 2013. For additional information, contact Project Manager Deborah Manning at 651-602-1114.
