Golden Valley Historical Society

The mission of the Golden Valley Historical Society is to discover, preserve, and disseminate historical knowledge about Golden Valley, Minnesota.

Chartered October 1, 1974, the Historical Society is tax exempt under IRS Section 501(c)3 and Section 509(a) (1) and 170(b) (1) (A) (vi) of the Code of 1954, meaning all donations to the Society are deductible to the extent allowed by law and the Society is a publicly funded museum.

The "Little White Church in the Valley" is home to the Golden Valley Historical Society.

Golden Valley Historical Society Building

In 1997, the Golden Valley Historical Society bought the former Christian Science Society church building at 6731 Golden Valley Road for use as a city museum, educational center, historical wedding chapel, and meeting hall. Efforts are under way to raise funds for renovation and restoration.
